We are delighted to welcome Music Generation back to the school!!
The children will be doing lots of fun activities to teach them about key elements in music, like pulse and tempo. The children will also be learning lots of songs and they will even have some actions! There will be performances during the year for parents to come in and see.
We look forward to sharing our progress with parents throughout the year.
Over the Summer Holidays, the Board of Management were very busy! The room upstairs, opposite the office has been turned into a library and computer room. The walls of the room were painted, new carpet put on the floors and bookshelves were bought and fixed to the walls. They also invested in some new Chromebooks. The children in the Senior Room decided to use their Golden Time today to sit in the library and play on the Chromebooks.
Thank you to the Board of Management for giving this space a make-over! We are looking forward to doing research in the library in the coming months.
The staff and I are very excited to see some new and familiar faces on Wednesday 26th August. We can’t wait to hear about all of the fun and exciting things you have all been up to over the summer holidays! 🙂
Today, we celebrated the school year and our achievements at the end of year service. The children received their certificates and Sixth Class got a very special gift from the school. Thank you to Canon Brian O’Rourke for leading the service and awarding the children with their certificates.
The school will be closing at 12 noon tomorrow Friday 21st June for the summer holidays. The school will be reopening on Wednesday 28th August 2019 at 9 am. We look forward to seeing all the children then, ready for another exciting school year!
The staff of St Columba’s N.S want to wish 6th Class all the best as they move onto the next chapter of their lives. We look forward to hearing about all the wonderful things that you will achieve in the future! 🙂
The children in the Senior Room invited parents in to see their projects on Friday 7th June 2019. The children had food which is typical to their country. Thank you to all the parents that came in to see the projects. Well done to all the children in the Senior Room for the hard work they put into the projects!
Look at how big the chicks in the Middle Room have gotten!! Today, they are going back to the farm where there is more space for them to run around. The children in the Junior and Middle Room have loved visiting the chicks and seeing them grow. Hopefully we will get some more next year!
