St. Columba’s NS is now accepting places for junior infants for the school year 2021-2022. An Intention to Enrol form is available. As per our Admissions notice, the Intention to Enrol form must be returned to the school either by email or post by 22 Jan 2021. An application form shall then be sent out for completion.

Today, Ms McGrath and 4th Class made milkshakes for the Senior Room.
We have been learning about Procedure Writing (set of instructions) in English over the last week. The children wrote the recipe out for Green Milkshakes and then made it today. The other children were happy to sample the recipe.

Thank you to the P.T.A for the purchase of lots of new equipment for our playground. Here are pictures of some of the latest additions, with more to come!
The children were so excited to come back after their Remote Learning to new play equipment and furniture in the yard. Thank you so much P.T.A and everyone that has donated to the P.T.A.

Today, we had a Lá Glas in school. The children dressed up in Green Outfits and celebrated St. Patrick. They had a great day!

Today, the children wore Christmas jumpers to school. The children showed off their outfits to the rest of the school outside and there was a prize for the best outfit in each classroom. Over €140 was raised for The Simon Community! Well done to all the children that participated and donated!
The children had a great day on Friday 23rd October celebrating Halloween.
The children dressed up and had lots of fun activities throughout the day. They went on a Witchy Walk, a treasure hunt and had a pinata. It was a great day!
Friday 9th October 2020
The children wore jerseys/ casual clothing to school and made a donation of €2 to the charity GOAL. The children raised €135 for the charity! In school, we discussed the importance of giving to others and how something small can make a huge difference to other people.
We also learned that €100 can buy 300 antibiotics for malnourished children in other countries! It was our GOAL to be able to provide this lifesaving medicine to 300 children, which we achieved!!
