Today, we say good-bye to Sixth Class. They have been wonderful children to teach and we are excited for them, as they move into Secondary School.

Tuesday 22nd June 2021

After 17 years, today, we officially marked the retirement of our wonderful secretary Ms Thackaberry. The children made cards and presented her with gifts at our End of Year Celebration. We are going to miss seeing her bubbly and friendly face each day and hope she will return to visit us next year.

Ms Thackaberry presented each of the children with their Graduation Certificates to mark the end of the year. We also received our Active School Flag today.

Friday 18th June 2021

Today, we had our annual Sports Day. There were many events this year- Running Race, Relay Race, Egg and Spoon Race, Sack Race, Backwards Race, Three-Legged Race, just to name a few. The children had great fun participating in the many races and everyone received a medal.

We have got some fantastic news! We have been officially awarded the Active School’s Flag. Many years of hard work by the pupils and staff has finally paid off!! A big thank you to Ms Ansell, who was the Active School’s Coordinator. She worked hard in planning fun activities, events and putting together the application form.

Today, the Junior Room went on a trip to the playground. They had great fun playing on the equipment and playing soccer.

Today, the Middle and Senior Rooms went down to the local football pitch to play soccer and rounders. It was great having so much space to play sport in the sunshine.

Monday 14th June 2021

Today, 6th Class designed and painted their own mural in the garden. This tradition marks the end of their time in Primary School, while leaving their stamp on the school!

Friday 11th June 2021

There was great excitement today, when an ice-cream van pulled up into the car park, to surprise each of the children and teachers (we couldn’t be left out) with an ice-cream! They were delicious!!

Thursday 10th June 2021

Today, coaches from Carlow G.A.A club came to the school to do a workshop with the children. They had lots of fun playing different games and working as a team.
