The pupils in 4th, 5th & 6th Classes hosted a Coffee Afternoon and Bake Sale this afternoon. We are delighted to announce that a total of €650 was raised at the event. The proceeds will be shared between two wonderful organisations. The pupils chose to raise funds for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin and ASH Animal Rescue Shelter.
The event was a great success. The pupils did a wonderful job decorating and baking for the event. Well done to the pupils for running the event with such enthusiasm. Thank you to our parents for your continued support. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the event. Many thanks to parents and pupils for their kindness and generosity. It is really appreciated. Thank you to all who attended the event and to those who helped out on the day. It was a great success.
Our new book rental scheme will operate from September 2014 for all classes. The 2014-15 book lists are available to download here. All book rental money must be paid to the school by Friday 30th May, 2014.
I wish to thank our staff for their work on the establishment of the scheme and also the Board of Management for their support of the scheme. I am extremely grateful to all of the parents and families who have donated books back to the school. Their generosity has allowed us to widen our book rental scheme to three subject areas from Third Class up. Thank you all very much.
Participation in the book rental scheme is voluntary. Book lists will be supplied to parents in the normal way.
Annual rental: A rental charge of €3 per textbook per year will apply. A rental charge of €3 per year (not per book) also applies to readers for children in Junior and Senior Infants. The payment of these charges will secure the rental of all relevant text books listed in the book list as and when required throughout the school year.
Our January Hot Dog Day was a resounding success. Thank you to all who supported our Hot Dog Day. We raised €117 for school funds. Thank you to Daphne Smyth and Sarah Blair who prepared our hot dogs. Their work got a big thumbs up from our Senior Infants.
