We were delighted to welcome our Patron, Bishop Burrows to school today. Bishop Burrows visited all of our classrooms and blessed our new sensory garden.
Thank you to the Forward Steps Commmunity Garden (based in the Resource Centre) who kindly donated strawberries, fennel and sage for our Sensory Garden.
Congratulations to one of our Senior Infants who won a medal in the Community Games.
1st, 2nd and 3rd Classes have been learning about materials with Ms Pearson. They’ve had great fun making a waterproof hat, boot and jacket for their teddy bears.
My name is Paula Phelan and I’m the manager of Music Generation Carlow. I am writing to ask for your help in forming our next 5 year strategic plan. Below is a link to a simple 8 question survey that should take 7/8 minutes to complete. I would really appreciate it if you could complete the survey so I can make sure the voice of the parent/guardian is kept to the forefront of the planning process,
Some of our Junior Infants had great fun planting in our new sensory garden this morning. We found lots of worms, fluffy plants and plants that make nice smells when we rub them. We even planted some bushes and flowers to attract minibeasts and help our bee population.
It was lovely to see some of our girls using their map skills to read our 1901 map of Co. Carlow.
There was great interest in the digger for our new storage room today. The boys were ready to direct operations from the halla!
Thank you to Tara Donnelly who filled our hanging baskets for Spring. They look great!
On Friday, some of our children participated in an inter-schools debating competition hosted by Scoil Pádrag Naofa. We had great fun and learned lots of new skills. One of our boys won a prize for Best Rebuttal during his debate.
